The re-engineered body allows you to insert the pipe using less effort and doesnt require a PEX tube liner. No soldering, clamps, unions, glue, or special tools are required for installation. They are the fastest way to connect PEX, copper, CPVC, PE-RT and HDPE pipe. The fitting can be rotated after installation for quick adjustments, and removing the fitting is just as fast with a disconnect tool, allowing fittings and valves to be changed or reused. (SharkBite push-to-connect fittings are the fastest when compared to other conventual plumbing methods. All other comparisons relate to first generation SharkBite push-to-connect products.) Half the insertion effort, double the burst pressure. Stainless steel retainer adds strength and durability. High-performance DZR lead-free brass body and can be rotated after installation. No tube liner required for PEX.
